Summer Learning Opportunity…
An interactive leadership workshop with Dr. Malik Muhammed
Leadership remains the decisive factor in all organizations, whether they are businesses, schools, agencies, faith-based organizations or families. But what kind of leader do we need and how do we maintain our authenticity as we lead? There is a powerful formula for leading ourselves and others that allows us to navigate the dynamic tension between challenge and connection. Through deep self-reflection and small-group circles, this interactive workshop will explore the frameworks and practices needed to understand the basics of restorative leadership and how the “Change Formula” applies to our personal and professional lives.
A little bit about our speaker…Dr. Muhammad works with the underserved in urban and rural areas. He has focused on the development of Black boys to men, establishing a progressive pedagogy for oppressed youth, and building progressive organizations. Dr. Muhammad also serves as Vice President of several educational, mental health and human services operations in 8 states across the US. Through this work, he continues to diligently work towards transforming lives, one community at a time.
Dr. Muhammad is also actively involved in several national and international organizations, championing an emphasis on Black and Latino youth. Dr. Muhammad holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware. Rumour has it… he has been tagged to take over the EO Regional Leadership Academy from Warren Rustand. His key messages are to “incorporate connection before content” and “connect, challenge, change.”
